been singing lullabies the whole night, but the funny thing is that i feel more awake than ever. i suck at singing lullabies. i can't do the whole soothing, calming voice thing. i keep breaking into a operatic bel canto belt.

i sure it could break a lot of glass and make babies cry.

i learnt a new word: Oekaki!

i've been doing Oekaki! drawings these few days, and Odin and Sara's one of them. perhaps i shall do an Oekaki! drawing of my object of sick infatuation, who is about a hundred years older than me.

okay, he's 30 years older.

i do NOT like him for his money, fame or looks, like what M and N says. i like him for his mind and genius. why doesn't anyone understand this?

i did a pencil portrait of myself a few weeks ago when i was down with acute tonsillitis, but now that i'm well i don't feel like painting it because i just don't want to revisit the physical and emotional pain i was going through then. so i'll leave it aside until my next bout of tonsillitis which i hope will never come.

other than that i got hired as a teacher at a nearby primary school, but not as an art teacher which is sad. i hate teaching math, i'm terrified of making a mistake like i always do at math. 1 + 1 = 3?

i also need to learn italian or at least learn how to sound italian when i sing because my vocal teacher says my italian arias do not sound convincing. how when the only italian i know are "pizza", "spaghetti", "prego", "arriverderci", "grazie" and "mamma mia"? i need a tutor but i can't afford it and besides how the hell can i find an italian tutor here in singapore.

So well I've graduated and now I'm just waiting to see if I can get into college.

Ms Lee, or should I say Mrs Wragge, the light of my life, the wielder of my paintbrush and the Art Teacher That Opened Up My Mind has left forever never to return. I mean, she's gone and gotten married and now she lives in New Zealand with Christopher.

I like Christopher. He's a good chap and he'll be a good husband. Good for you Ping, have lots of babies and I hope I'll be a frequent guest to 56 Makora. I'm looking forward to my next visit!

I've applied to be an Art teacher at 2 schools already, but I guess they don't have much need for Art teachers because they haven't called back.

Been attempting to DIY frame my Victoria/Victimia painting thingamajig. and trying not to split the panel. and smear the paint. and ruin my work.

which reminds me, i have to start on my Full Moon painting. and my Frida Kahlo reproduction. i'm most probably doing A Broken Column, because i'm not skilled and patient enough to do Moses.

i did a little sketch of Angelina Jolie in my notepad with a blue ball-point pen. i have to admit i suck at pen drawings. but it looked pretty much like her. she's the Love of My Life, the Woman I am Going to Marry.

i found another two little sketches i did of Devon Aoki in my European History notes. she's my First Love.

Say, the Aotearoa Hawaiki CD that's playing now in the Art Lab's pretty good.
